CARD CANDY SWAPS

Evening crafters

This week the postie brought me my Card Candy swaps from a Demo swap I participated in recently with my Stampin' Up! colleagues at In Love With Stampin'.  These are a great way to showcase different elements from a stamp set to make for card toppers or decorating scrapbook pages.

Mine was posted back in a previous post, together with a tutorial on how to make your own background paper to co-ordinate with your project.

CARD CANDY SWAP - ILWS

Afternoon crafters

Today I'm back again with a Card Candy Swap with my friends and colleagues over at 'In Love With Stamping'. This is one of my favourite swaps when demonstrators all get together at our Annual European Convention in the Autumn.

The stamp set I chose was Cupcake Party #134123 (W) #134126 (C) and using Rose Red, Old Olive and Pool Party colours.

Pop back tomorrow and I will post how I did the background paper.  Meanwhile, I'm watching for the postman to deliver my return swaps :-)

Happy craftin'

CARD CANDY SWAPS

Morning crafters !

Last night I started creating little pieces of Card Candy for a Demonstrator swap at our Stampin' Up! European Convention in October.   Yes, I know it may seem early, but it's only 3 months and time always seems to run away with us.

This is an annual event and we have been given dates for 3-years, all being held in Brussels, as a central venue with good commuter links from all our European Stampin' Up! member countries.  It's not too late to join us, if you wish to sign up as an Independent  Demonstrator for just £99, you choose your own starter kit products, and worth much more.  Whether just as a hobby demo to earn discounts and free products for yourself and friends or to run as a small business, it's up to you.  All demonstrators work independently and can do as much or as little as they like.  If you would like to know more, get in touch. There's also a link at the top of my blog.

Tomorrow I'm meeting up with Alison, one of my downlines, and she had suggested working on our Card Candy swaps and having a fixed project to work on is a great idea.   Last month we worked on sorting our demonstrator swaps with retired products, making them up to sell for charity.

I've decided one of my Card Candy group swaps will be using a stamp set only available to hostesses holding a party or virtual party.

In anticipation of my delivery yesterday, I had sketched some ideas to create and had fun making up a few pieces during the evening. Sorry I can't post my creations yet as these will be under wraps until Convention swap has taken place.

While the stamp set is out on my desk, I may make a card to post in the next few days .......

Happy craftin'

LOVELY HANDMADE CHRISTMAS CARDS

I am so lucky to receive some lovely handmade cards from some of my team, customers and other crafters.

Today I would like to share just a few of those I have received, including a couple of gorgeous Punchart which are always among my favourites.

JANE – came home from the Lake District with a pet black sheep.  She is a very talented crafter and made her punchart ‘black sheep’.  Fantastic.

ANJ – another beautiful punchart creation using the wonderful Owl punch.

MICHELLE – a different colour combination for Christmas from my SU upline.

JANET – I love small cards, perfect for Christmas.

LORRAINE – I love the simplicity of this stamp, will have to ask where she got it.

JEAN – I love the Stampin’ Up! stocking stamp and punch set.  So glad I got my hands on one as it never made it to the European market.

TANYA – This was such a tiny cute card.  I’ve seen this idea done somewhere on Pinterest and love it.

JUDY – she has been showing me some wonderful different versions of this card, gorgeous.

LAURA – lovely two-tone effect on these ornaments and that embossed frame is another firm favourite.

LYNN – all this effort for Christmas, very much appreciated.

Again, these are just a sample of lots and lots of wonderful cards David and I received.  Thank you all for your kind festive wishes.  We hope you all had a wonderful Christmas.

Happy crafting :-)
