NEW CATALOGUE BLOG HOP

Morning crafters !

Welcome to the Stampin' Up! New Catalogue Blog Hop, organised by one of my Downlines, Laura, over at In Love With Stamping.

Please grab yourself a cuppa, forget the boring Saturday chores for a while and enjoy hopping round a few blogs looking at creations we have made from items in the Annual analogue 2014/15.

Now, you may have just joined me from the lovely Jo @ http://www.jo-joscraftyblog.blogspot.co.uk/. Jo always has wonderful projects to share with us.

Simply click on the links either forwards or backwards until you have completed the whole loop and arrive back where you started.

Today, I have chosen to showcase some of the lovely New In-Colours for 2014/16.

As the blog hop commences, I will just be starting one my 12-hr Fun Days of Crafting with some lovely ladies at my home, now a regular scheduled event when my husband is away with the British Legion Riders.

Todays projects will be using many products from new catalogue, including the new In-Colours Blackberry Bliss, Hello Honey and Lost Lagoon.

My first card used a Blackberry Bliss A6 base card and spritzed with Vanilla Shimmer Smooch Spritz #118772.

The background paper was an A5 sheet of white card stock I had created using a screwed up ball of paper.  When my Stampin' Up! deliveries arrive, they are always well packed with brown paper which very often ends up in the recycle bin !

Having previously experimented with scrunched up tin foil, cling film or copy paper, all producing slightly different effects, this was recent technique, using my 'recycled' waste from my last delivery :-). Tightly scrunched ball was tapped onto ink pads and randomly stamped over entire piece of card.  Make sure to use a different 'ball' for each colour !

The rest of the card includes a sentiment from And Many More #134273 (W) #134276 (C), Thick Baker's Twine #135639 available in In-Colours 2013/15, and Rhinestone Basic Jewels #119246 coloured using the new Blendabilities markers, available in a range of colours.

My next card features the lovely new Watercolour Thank You #135377 which my ladies will each be receiving in their class kit today.

The background has been stamped using Work of Art stamp set #134111 (W) #133114 (C) and finished off with some gorgeous Stitched Satin ribbon in Hello Honey #133671, and available in all the new In-Colours, and a few Rhinestone jewels.

My last card features the lovely new Moonlight Paper Stack #133701 for the background.

The sentiment is from Bravo #135380 (P) and only available in Stampin' Up! new Photopolymer. I must admit is was sceptical as I love my wood mounted stamps, but really pleased with these. You simply have to try before judging. Begin totally clear, it is super easy to place exactly where you want image.

The background effect has been made using two wet wipes and dotting drops of each of the re-inkers in Blackberry Bliss #133648, Hello Honey #133649 and Lost Lagoon #133650.

The small flowers are from Something to Say #134177 (W) #134180 (C) using Blackberry Bliss ink pad # and punched using Itty Bitty Accents Punch pack trio punch set #133787.

I hope you have enjoyed my projects today and now to continue on your blog hop, please click on http://jannekedejong70.blogspot.nl/  and visit one of our Dutch Demonstrators, Janneke.

Remember that all Stampin' Up! Products can be purchased from my online shop 24/7 and delivered directly to you at home, by simply clicking on the link in red at the bottom of each blog post.

Bye for now and hope to see you back tomorrow to see other projects my ladies are making today.  It's going to be a long hot day but I have a super powerful floor fan to keep us cool.

IN LOVE WITH STAMPING - July swap cards

Evening crafters !

Here are the cards I made for this months challenge with fellow Stampin' Up! demonstrators over at 'In Love With Stamping'.  This month's theme was 'show me something new' using Stampin' Up! products from the NEW Annual Ideas & Catalogue.

Here I've used the lovely NEW In-Colours Blackberry Bliss, Hello Honey and Lost Lagoon.  Stamp 'splodges' are from Work of Art #134111 (W) #134114 (C) and stamped over using Watercolour Thank You #135377 (W).    To finish off, I sponged some Vellum card stock #106584 using Lost Lagoon ink and cut Butterfly using Beautiful Wings Embosslits #118138 and finished with some Pearl Basic Jewels #119247.

I've entered two groups this month so here's the 2nd set I've swapped.

These cards use some of the Moonlight paper stacks #133701.  Using the favourite of my NEW In-Colours, Blackberry Bliss on a Smokey Slate base card. The sentiment is from Age Awareness #135381 in the NEW Photopolymer stamps.

It's such an exciting time with lots of new goodies arriving, I'm really looking forward to receiving my swaps back next week and see what the other lovely demonstrators have to share with the rest of us.

CONGRATULATIONS - Channel swimmer

Morning crafters !

This is a card I'm delivering today for a work colleague.   She had a friend who swam the English Channel and asked me to make a congratulations card.

Love my Stampin' Up! Owl punch.  This is the one punch I hope Stampin' Up! never 'retire'.  If you still haven't got one, please speak to me as I am emailing a class tutorial with ideas with all Owl punch orders to get you started.

The DSP was from a retired set but looked like water effect.  Everything else an be ordered from current catalogue.

NEW NEIGHBOUR CARD

Morning crafters !

Saturday we had a horse box pull up next door and unload a few belongings so believe we neighbours are on their way.

I love my owl punch and this was a design I did for Dad when he moved into his bungalow.  Mounted the same design but using mat layers and onto a 6" base card.

Card prepared ready for when they arrive properly !!

VINO O'CLOCK

Evening crafters !

This is way to pass the time whilst waiting for gel polish to soak off :-)  A bit awkward to hold the wine glass but I won't let it stop me.

... not brilliant focus but here is the finished result .......

A nice soft Pink Smoothie Gel Polish this time with June Bride glitter tips and silver dots along the join line. It's so much easier working on other people, but I love incorporating my crafting into doing nailart.

CARD CANDY SWAPS

Morning crafters !

Last night I started creating little pieces of Card Candy for a Demonstrator swap at our Stampin' Up! European Convention in October.   Yes, I know it may seem early, but it's only 3 months and time always seems to run away with us.

This is an annual event and we have been given dates for 3-years, all being held in Brussels, as a central venue with good commuter links from all our European Stampin' Up! member countries.  It's not too late to join us, if you wish to sign up as an Independent  Demonstrator for just £99, you choose your own starter kit products, and worth much more.  Whether just as a hobby demo to earn discounts and free products for yourself and friends or to run as a small business, it's up to you.  All demonstrators work independently and can do as much or as little as they like.  If you would like to know more, get in touch. There's also a link at the top of my blog.

Tomorrow I'm meeting up with Alison, one of my downlines, and she had suggested working on our Card Candy swaps and having a fixed project to work on is a great idea.   Last month we worked on sorting our demonstrator swaps with retired products, making them up to sell for charity.

I've decided one of my Card Candy group swaps will be using a stamp set only available to hostesses holding a party or virtual party.

In anticipation of my delivery yesterday, I had sketched some ideas to create and had fun making up a few pieces during the evening. Sorry I can't post my creations yet as these will be under wraps until Convention swap has taken place.

While the stamp set is out on my desk, I may make a card to post in the next few days .......

SUPPORTING SCOTTY's LITTLE HEROS CHARITY

Hi !

Our local Broadlands Goldwing club raise lots of money for charities each year. This year their chosen charity voted at our AGM for 2014, is 'Scotties Little Soldiers'.

We meet monthly at The Park Hotel and at our meeting Sunday, all those present applied our temporary tattoos to support their event today.

With no cameras forthcoming, I offered to take on iPad and so managed to escape being in the photo !!  Unfortunately they needed as many tattoos as possible, so here is a selfie of my arm......

.... and a clearer one to see the tattoo.

To find out more about work of Scotty's Little Soldiers charity, please follow this link http://www.scottyslittlesoldiers.co.uk/articles/92/get_involved_in_scottys_day

Many of us support charities close to our hearts. I much prefer to do little bits when I can, rather than supporting those standing in the street or supermarkets, trying to tap a captive audience.  This time no crafting involved but pleased to support a good cause.

Happy fundraising folks, keep up the good work we all do.

WELCOME 'MR UPS'

Morning crafters !

This morning started with my dreaded dentist appointment.  I've had an on-going problem tooth right at the back and he had discussed referring me to a specialist for root canal, only to discover at a follow up appointment that the tooth was cracked and and to come out anyway !!!

Now I'm a bit of a wimp when it comes to dentists but I survived my very first extraction at the dentist and it wasn't as bad as I had expected.

Back home, while feeling hungry, longing for a nice hot cuppa but not allowed yet, I was eagerly awaiting my lovely Mr UPS man.  A different driver today and a much later delivery but look what finally arrived late afternoon to cheer me up ....

And look what was inside ......

Now, I wonder how I could spend the rest of the day ?  Would love to start playing but first the boring job of mounting all the stamp sets, then they will all be ready for creative time tomorrow after work.

Pop back soon and see what I got up to ......

POP UP BUSINESS EVENT

Evening crafters !

Today I had another 'Pop up business' event, out in the local community promoting some events and our beautiful NEW catalogue of Stampin' Up! products.

Following the success of my last event, I made another basket full of choccie gifts as my business cards, this time using some of the wonderful new In- Colours for 2014/15.  Blackberry Bliss is definitely my favourite :-)

It's amazing how, when a business card has a chocolate on it, they attract more interest !!

Next on todays list was designing cards for TWO swap groups for this months Demo swap on In Love With Stamping.  Sorry. but you will need to wait as these will be posted on here on our closing date of 20th July.

RAINY AFTERNOON CRAFTING

Afternoon crafters !

Why is it, when we have a lovely sunny week, including the hottest day of the year so far, whilst we are at work, then the weekend arrives to heavy rain ?  Never mind, I have my never ending list of jobs I need to get done.

On my planned list yesterday was to visit a local craft fair at Garboldisham village hall, near the farm I grew up on.  Picking up a dear friend on the way, we had a lovely catch up, laughs and nattered constantly.  The event was more specialised crafters, working with iron, wood (from spoons to large garden seats), pottery, basket weaving, etc.

Next we went on a bit of a mystery tour towards Dad's old farm in the next village, stopping on route at Dutch Barn Nurseries at Blo Norton for a cuppa and homemade cake, and bought a few plants. It's a small world but my friends brother had a shop in the area, she thinks in the same village ... I need to ask Dad if he remembers him.

My other creative outlet this year was next on the list. I have completed nail technician and nail art courses and needed to create some more samples for a customer, mainly all my stock colours on sample sticks, plus a few ideas to share with her at work next week. She is booked for the week after to have them done before work, ready for her son's graduation.

My stock colours of gel polish all finally prepped onto sample sticks and labelled.   Below are just a few nail art designs I've done for myself and friends. I'm now creating a sample for every new design as I go but I do but have a little catching up to do at the moment.

Pop back tomorrow as rain looks like it will stop planned events, so maybe a bit more crafting :-)

LOCAL DEMO MONTHLY SHOE BOX SWAP

Evening crafters !

Yesterday evening, instead of the usual 'local' crafting meet up, Alison, another of my Downlines, invited us to visit her on the North Norfolk coast.

As Demonstrators we get to pre-order from a few selected items of the NEW ANNUAL catalogue. There were five of us, each creating a shoe-box style swap and, with a much longer journey time, I chose a very quick stamped card using the NEW stamp set Work of Art #134111 (W) #134114 (C), a graphic set with nice greetings.

I love how, making one craft project (or sometimes even just the outline planning in my head), very often sparks off other creative ideas. This was a quick and easy card as we had 5 shoe box projects to complete.  I already have another project lined up to play with as a result of this idea which will feature at one of my classes in a couple of weeks.  This card will shortly be winging it's way to a birthday girl :-)

CHRISTMAS INSPIRATION

Evening crafters !

Following successful groups in previous years, my monthly Christmas card groups start again this month. Northwold group starts Monday 21st July, moving back to the village hall, giving us greater flexibility.  We are very grateful to the Crown Inn pub for letting us use their facilities, but following notification of changes to their autumn opening hours, this will also give us much more space and better lighting.

Here's another quick little card from last years classes to give you some inspiration .....

This 10cm square card was made using 'For The Birds', a really good all-round set of 8 stamps, ideal for both beginners and seasoned crafters alike, and available from the new Annual catalogue.   Gumball Green card and stitched ribbon have now retired but many other lovely options available.

Anyone wishing to buy this set, will receive a free colour class tutorial.   Just click on link to my online shop below, or contact me.
